The MMX Performance MINI F56 / GP3 / BMW F40 M135i Intake Resonator Delete Pipe is engineered specifically for BMW's B48A20T1 engine, the highest-output variant of the B48 platform found in the MINI John Cooper Works GP3 and BMW M135i. Developed to eliminate one of the factory intake system's primary airflow restrictions, this upgrade replaces the restrictive OEM resonator assembly with a smooth-bore aluminum intake pipe that improves airflow efficiency while enhancing induction sound.

The factory intake resonator and corrugated plastic bellows are designed primarily to suppress intake noise and improve cabin refinement. While effective for NVH reduction, these components introduce unnecessary turbulence and pressure loss before the turbocharger. The MMX Resonator Delete Pipe replaces the entire assembly with a precision-engineered 83mm aluminum pipe, creating a smoother airflow path from the airbox to the turbocharger.

By reducing airflow restriction and pressure drop, the intake system is able to supply the turbocharger more efficiently, improving throttle response, reducing turbo lag, and supporting more consistent boost delivery throughout the rev range. The removal of the factory resonator also allows significantly more induction and turbocharger sound to reach the cabin, providing a more engaging driving experience without compromising reliability.
